I don’t want to wake,
From my perfect dream.
You are right beside me,
Not leaving my side.
You tell me you love me,
And that this love is forever.
I look into your eyes,
And realize you mean every word.
I can tell you everything I feel.
You just smile and tell me
All these things I would not believe
From the lips of anyone else.
You kiss me softly,
And I can feel the world slipping away.
And in this new reality,
There is only us left.
I open my eyes slowly,
And realize it’s all been a dream.
You are no where near me,
And I’m left with words you’ve never said.
